What's overhead right now?
Real-time sky viewer showing satellites, aircraft, stars, planets, and the Moon visible from your location. Almost everything runs in your browser; the only server code is a small cached relay for live aircraft positions.
Built with vanilla JavaScript and bundled with Vite. Orbit propagation via satellite.js v7 — SGP4/SDP4 compiled from C++ to WebAssembly. Star positions from the Hipparcos catalogue. Planet and Moon positions via Keplerian orbital mechanics. World coastlines from Natural Earth via the world-atlas dataset. Map view powered by Leaflet with OpenStreetMap tiles. Served with HSTS and a strict Content-Security-Policy. Anonymous, cookieless visit counts via Cloudflare Web Analytics — no personal data. Hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Sky computation runs in your browser; live aircraft positions pass through a small edge-cached relay on Cloudflare.
